You may spot that our website has a fresh new look this Spring, as we give it a makeover to celebrate our 30th anniversary year.
With a commemorative logo and a flash of green to kick off our celebrations, this is the start of a series of activities we’re launching to mark 30 years since the beginning of RJC Dance.
Over the next 12 months, you can look forward to some extra special events and projects, including our dramatic return to Leeds West Indian Carnival, an eye-opening exhibition sharing photography, video, design and art from the last three decades, and several other initiatives that are top secret for now. Without spoiling the surprise too much, we can reveal that this won’t be the last of that vibrant green that you see here...
It’s set to be a year to remember, made even more special with RJC Dance Director set to collect her MBE, and several RJC Dance Youth Provision members making their mark in the world as they embark on their own careers in dance.
Kathy Williams, MBE, OLY Director of RJC Dance comments: “After 30 years of RJC Dance, we have a great deal to be proud of. This year is all about celebrating those who have come before, and looking to the bright future that lies ahead for the organisation and the incredible young people who make it so special. We hope as many people as possible from our community and beyond will join us in these celebrations so we can make it a year to remember.”
