RJC Dance is celebrating Black History Month througout October 2020. Earlier this year, we asked you to name the Black Britons who have inspired you. We're now shining the spotlight on these figures throughout the month via social media, to spread that inspiration among our community.
Stay tuned throughout the month as we also launch a groundbreaking digital art exhibition. We will be revealing a digital banner that has been made by collating the work from our Celebrate Mandela project. The piece, which will be a wonderful close to our Black History Month celebrations, is compiled by local artist Rhian Kempadoo Millar, featuring art from all the participants who took part.
Do also take a look at Leicester-based arts & heritage organisation Serendipity, who have a fantastic programme of short films, performances, workshops and lectures for Black History Month. The programme includes ‘The Interview’ with our very own Kathy Williams OLY, Director RJC Dance. Check it out!
