Roots Respect and Still Rising Exhibition

Through the project 'ROOTS, RESPECT AND STILL RISING' Artists Rhian Kempadoo- Millar, Tracey Pinder and Shamce Hassan will work with RJC Dance, Creative Seed and Leeds West Indian Carnival to create an exhibition and 50 strong carnival troupe inspired by and honouring 25 years of RJC Dance.

We create a troupe of 50 dancers, a king costume and an exhibition celebrating the 25th year anniversary of RJC Dance and their work within carnival.

We will run a series of creative workshops to make the costumes  with RJC Dance Youth Provision and community groups to create the costumes as well as working alongside Creative Seed on the large scale pieces.

The performance will be premiered at the launch, on the road at LWIC and at the RJC Dance Youth Provision Christmas Show.
